Ebenezer Scrooge is a prosperous curmudgeon who believes personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others. With an infuriated "Bah! Humbug!" Scrooge summates his feelings of Christmas tidings and charitable giving, but he's forced to face his selfish ways when three ghosts on Christmas Eve lead him through his Past, Present, & Future. Thanks to their guidance, Scrooge recognizes his faults and greets Christmas morning with a cheerful "Happy Christmas" before spending the day reconnecting and sharing love with those that mean the most to him.
Auditions will be held on Friday October 7th at 7pm and Saturday October 8th at 12pm. All roles are open to folks ages 6+. Please prepare a 16-32 bar, memorized musical selection. An accompanist will be available so please provide your own sheet music. A CD player will be available for those using a track but it is not preferred. Accapella auditions are also strongly discouraged. There will be a general dance audition so please have comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear. If you are interested in the role of Ghost of Christmas Present or in being a toy soldier, please be prepared to attend the separate tap audition which will be held right at 7pm on Friday and 12pm on Saturday. If you are unable to attend auditions, we will accept music auditions by video. Video auditions must be submitted by October 8th at 12pm to email@example.com. Please do not wait until the last minute, the production team will not be responsible for technological difficulties in sending or receiving videos. Callbacks will be held, if needed, on Sunday October 9th at 2pm. Character information is listed below. This show is a wonderful HPCT tradition and fun for everyone.
